Yeah sorry, didn’t mean to say that pay was based purely off of seats. Clearly it is not that way at other carriers. I just mean that different equipment is going to pay different rates. Anyone who doesn’t think that is living in a fantasy land. Were we not the highest paid 737 operators, I may feel differently. If you have one pay rate for every airplane, someone is getting screwed. I think it’s awesome that UPS does it, but that’s a whole different ball of wax. They are all paid really well. Pax airlines don’t work under the same premise.
Getting WB pay to fly a 137 seat jet would be pretty sweet though. I think it’s all just a thought exercise since I doubt we’ll get smaller/larger jets both at the same time. Might take years to do anything to that effect outside of a M&A due to delivery slots.
