2-3 day trips were a result of summer weather causing operational integrity issues, not duty day or rig pay.
You are correct. I’m addressing the point that an AA pilots made. One poster said that If they get 1:1 add pay beyond 10 hours of duty, the company would turn their 18 hour 3 day into a 21 hour 4 day. That’s why I said it wouldn’t make sense to extend the pairing by an extra day since that would cost more than keeping their 2 or 3 day pairings
