Why Leave?
You could tell your self this or that, realistically there are only a few
1) Money
2) QOL
3) Bases
4) Efficiency of trips/Type of flying
5) Quality of the company you work for
Where does F9 rate on these... poor, stepping stone airline. I don't blame the new guys for leaving. It's just a better deal. 40% seems high I could see that if your in SJU. Florida bases less so. People seemed content in LAS/PHX but the math changes over time.
Not liking the company I get, They have a tendency to really let us down on so many little things yet Expect more out of the Pilots then Legacy's do.
If we had a really strong Union. a lot of participation and a distributed effort. This place could be great. It won't happen over night. I would take years to develop that kind of culture, but If we want to move forward that is the best way.
At one point South West was under paid. People weren't itching to move on so much as there are here. It's because they had a strong culture. People really liked where they worked. Truth be told I like where I work. we keep butting heads with management, But If we had an effective Union that could come up with lasting permanent solutions to our daily problems. The math changes.
