I remember one time in Sanford we had a burnt out bulb. Downed us. No, G4 wouldn’t help. We ripped the cockpit apart until we found a bulb that would work and that location could be MEL’d. I won’t miss those days.
Currently giving zero thought to JCBAs & SLIs. Who’s to say I’ll even have a medical when those come to pass years down the road. I’m sure we’ll do fine with them. Our new company needs us combined to realize the profits from this marriage.
I suppose your question ultimately comes down to age. If young you should always weigh a promotion or raise. Always.
If you’re stuck or choose here, as I view it, you’ll make more money than you’ll ever need. At a healthy company. How you spend or invest said money will define your wealth.
Onward Wagons Ho.
I’ll gladly cash my paycheck from G4.
Right.

Idk about the JCBA being "worth sticking around for." I would answer "no" to that question, too big a risk.

Here's the question that I'm asking: Is what I have at my seniority now worth sticking around for? For me the answer is yes. For a lot of ppl the answer to that question will be no. Also, can you afford to lose a little in QOL and relative seniority? Bc regardless of JCBA, We are putting effort into new bases which can hurt relative seniority for MN guys. This will probably get worse at some point down the road due to the merger. For me, the status quo with some amount of QOL backsliding is good enough to stick around for now, but for many the answer will be "no." My decision is heavily dependent on what I'm not willing to put myself and my family through in this stage of life, too. We had better get a good JCBA at some point, but in the meantime I can keep on trucking with the status quo and my family and bank account are quite happy.
