The Ice Man/Mav combo with the love scene cleared some things up.

As an aside, I was watching Top Gun a few weeks ago and looking at the credits. One of the main F14 drivers in the movie is a guy named Dutch Holland who is now one of the lead Line Check pilots on the 767 at DAL. I thought that was pretty cool. That would make for some interesting conversation on a trip.
