Right, but the original point where this back and forth started in this thread was a large majority of Spirit’s pilot group (or any pilot group) would have previously complained about a bailout of another airline, but when they need it they rationalize why it’s okay.

For the record I’m completely fine with any and all avenues to help Spirit survive, but unless their business model can evolve I see all presented opportunities as bandaids over a large wound. The ULCC model was billed to give carriers like Spirit a major competitive advantage against legacy airlines when fuel prices spike; however, that has never been the case.
