As an Atlas alum, I would have said "John Dietrich" was one of those bigger things FedEx pilots have to worry about, but apparently he's stepping down in a couple months. Gotta wonder what led to that...especially given the recent TA, FedEx's labor relations over the last couple years, and his noted career-long disdain for pilots.

Shortly before I left Atlas, I was watching the "welcome to being taken private" townhall where he got himself fired by Apollo. Foot went straight into mouth "correcting" the new owners about collaboratively working with the pilot group or some such nonsense (it was pretty awkward to watch in real time) and he announced his retirement by company-wide email a day or two later.
