Nothing wrong with that. If someone tells me that, I'm totally cool with it. "Hey guys I'm going to head out and do some looking around on my own, thanks for the invite, I'll see you at pick up tomorrow". Totally legit in my book.
But to grab key, depart solo to the room without saying "see you tomorrow", and never be seen again until the pickup time, that's not normal. It's not having a bad day, it's behavioral. it's anti social, and it's an issue.
