I will always be thankful if someone wants to pay, but I never expect it and will gladly repay it when it's my turn.
This. Never expected, always appreciated. It’s a shame, but common courtesy is trending toward not so common these days. When someone offers to get you something—the only correct response is “thank you” or “no, thank you.” It’s not rocket surgery.
