That’s a culture thing, I think. It’s not something that’s emphasized heavily by anyone other than ALPA reps, for the most part.
I agree, we should all be wearing an ALPA pin of some kind.
I think United’s culture surrounding it is a bit toxic, but I do like that virtually 100% of their pilots, with some noted exceptions, wear that pin every day. Going to work without pants would be more acceptable to those guys than not wearing the pin.
