I agree, we should all be wearing an ALPA pin of some kind.
I think United’s culture surrounding it is a bit toxic, but I do like that virtually 100% of their pilots, with some noted exceptions, wear that pin every day. Going to work without pants would be more acceptable to those guys than not wearing the pin.
im just guessing here, but maybe United’s pin culture has more to due with their strike and resulting scabs. Scabs don’t get pins. Easy way to teach new people that show up that scabs are real, they live and work amongst us just look for the pin!
