I'll be another voice. While I'm not hoping for a merger for 1) admittedly very selfish reasons and 2) don't the benefit the legacy A320 fleet would benefit United especially in the current economic (fuel) climate and 3) mergers are always long, costly, and messy compared to the UAL aircraft order book...
I will say without hesitation that the JetBlue pilot group is the ONLY major pilot group I would ever hope for us to be tied up with.
Do not underestimate the Kirby talk about UAL and AAL as simply nonsense, it had a purpose. It's just that the purpose probably wasn't actually AAL...
