What system was that? There was no system that only called only a single pilot in seniority order. When only one pilot was called, it was not proffer.
It was always a "proffer" on the premium side. (1) You didn't have to answer the first call (check sked, see if it was acceptable and then call back) and (2) there was always childcare issues, adult beverage consumption or out of position to kick the trip. However, I believe the WS outside of 24 hours was an automatic award.
