There is no denying how hard the Ukrainians are fighting and what they have done so far despite the odds against them. And there is nothing wrong with hoping that they will prevail despite the odds against them. But it would be foolish to deny the reality of the factors against them, or that when this all gets settled, they are STILL going to share a long border with Russia.
It’s no game, quite agree. You’re no Russian false flag either, imo. The border shared is under siege & occupation, duh A once stately Capital, routinely targeted by missile, drone, rocket units. Over the course of 10 years in fact regular Russian troops, Russian backed separatists, a variety of 3rd world mercenaries have subjected Ukraine’s impoverished, decimated civilians to every possible terror but gas & of course their impressive stockpile of Soviet era nuclear weapons/launch platforms. The stated objective, securing Kremlin autonomy from foreign threats, farcical. But much as German Volk suffered the vengeful punishment for Nazi horrors in defeat, Russia herself must at all costs hold against global liability/judgement for what they’ve done. Fallout from which will remain contentiously hot for the rest of this generation and likely the next. So, imho, 1st order of business; summit. Z and Putin, face to face. Go from there. You could suggest a quiet table at an Italian cafe in Brooklyn. Tape a piece behind the toilet in back then shoot Lavrov in the throat, Putin in the forehead. But they’ve probably seen the film.
