Honestly, I'd be shocked if the higher-ups are taking a hands off approach and leaving him to his own devices.
You won’t find anyone at any level of Delta management who is ready to concede and permanently bake
all costs associated with auto-accept into the contract. Or any amount near that level (as you suggest).
The reality is that the costs already are permanently baked into the contract. But it’s going to take this management team much longer than the first two months of Section 6 to figure out.
