It's nuts how different things are today. So little cohesion in the pilot group. I think part of the problem is many pilots world views are in conflict with the socialism of unionism.
It's always been that way at Delta. Historically we hired 90% ex-mil (conservative) until the 1990's. Every A I flew with as a new hire sounded like Rush Limbaugh.
Today those pilots are aging out and we are becoming a decidedly different demographic, so I'm surprised we
don't see more ALPA swag about.
