So DL got burnt pretty good. When the Lion Air CEO inked that deal he had the same look on his face as I do when I return a rental car.
Because of this, it’s my understanding that they are not interested in taking over any used aircraft in the near future.
Also Ed just said at the last Velvet that the only thing DL is interested in from Spirit is gate space and engines FWIW.
With virtually every purchase of used aircraft Delta made over the course of my career with the exception of the 717 management said never again. Never again seems to mean until the next deal comes up.
