I agree. Like a lot of things, it has become fairly commonplace in an office setting. Our boomer leaders are the ones who decide our idiotic uniform standards, though, so until they retire and stop flying once every quarter only to land outside the touchdown zone in Alaska, I think we are screwed.
Remember, our head of standards changed the grooming policy to allow his own walrus mustache. These guys aren’t interested in anything but their own self importance and pathway to management glory.
The problem is that the next person will just do the same thing, only with their vision of what is "acceptable". We should all get a vote on this crap; the majority wins. I know, pipe dreams.
