surprised you can’t understand the intent of what I’m saying. It had nothing to do with narcissism or caring what others think but rather why they think it directly pertaining to our compensation and time off. Example: friend at Southwest made 13% less than me last year at exact same longevity and 1 month apart date of hire. We had different motives. I picked up a lot of straight pay (mostly all that was available or all that I was legal for) while he occasionally picked up the juicy stuff here and there. Only difference is I worked 31% more days than him. That’s a big, big difference over the length of a career, especially since even at southwest, he will still likely upgrade before me and we were hired 1 month apart.

Now I’m not saying we need all that value built into our next contract. But we need a big chunk of it.
