The biggest FU about the preposted rest is that it seems to all be automated with zero thought behind it. As Gulf mentioned, they post the rest starting at 0600 on the last day of a reserve block regardless of whether it’s needed. 4 days on- 4 days off. No need for a 30 hr preposted rest but there it is. THE ONLY REASON THEY ARE DOING THIS IS TO MANIPULATE THE GRID. The byproduct is that it is totally screwing the entire pilot group. RSVs can’t move or drop anything AND the seniority system that has been is place for years has been totally trashed. Line holders are also impacted with the diminished ability to move and drop their trips.
