I'm not so sure it's just individual's "bubbles." I Google "oil crisis" every few days just to see if there's any credibility to the claims, and there are always articles suggesting a global shortage could be coming. We can debate whether those sources are correct in their assessments or not, but plenty of different people are talking about it. Here are two just from today.
