They (LCAs) are seniority list pilots and members of our union - just like us. Again, this doesn't pass the smell test based on my experience in that world.
I've heard of them looking at sick call and attendance history when hiring for LCAs, but I can't verify it. Just random line pilot rumors. HK probably knows a lot more.
