I like the idea of sending my lanyard back to Prater. The USAir departure is still fresh in his memory. I wonder if he could see a disgruntled FedEx group as a threat?

My biggest beef with ALPA National (and DW specifically) is that they didn't show any concern when ICAO raised the rule. If it has always been about safety, why didn't they raise hell about that? I know why....it was all about the recent loss of dues revenue. They saw an opportunity to stuff the coffers for another five years.
This is my beef too. We all know Age 65 was going to happen, but I hated the fact that ALPA (and DW) didn't stand up and fight against it. I guess it's a principle thing. Had the results been the same, but we fought hard against it-I would not have the grudge that I have today. Heck, the NWA MEC voiced an opinion against it, why couldn't we have done that? The reason was $$, pure and simple.
