The last time I was around a group of pilots from different airlines, they were all bitc*ing about how age 60 to 65 is affecting their career. These guys all work for FEDEX, UPS, Delta and Cal; I added my two bits about how it affecting me as a regional pilot. You should have seen there face when I told them that they were complaining about making 100 thousand plus a year for in extra few years doesn't compare to the work that we do at the regionals for under $30 grand. I do not believe that the 65 age change would have passed congress if ALPA would not have supported it and majority of ALPA didn't want it.
What do you all think?
Who did (does) Prater fly for?
Are you aware that the pilots of UPS are not represented by ALPA?

What do you all think?
Instead of trying to "fix" ALPA, I think you should dump them and form your own independent union.
