Don't get ahead of yourself. Get wings. Serve your country. We'll still be here for you when you separate or retire. PIC is what counts...so if you fly a Viper or Herc or a 135 or -10 or Raptor....go do a good job, work to upgrade to IP...and we'll see you when you are ready. You know we aren't that picky--we hire Marines for heaven's sake....

But seriously...job one is be in UPT this Friday. Next Monday your job is to be there NEXT Friday. Get the picture?

You might even find out you like it better than chasing airline dreams. All I ever wanted was to do 7 years and go to Delta. I did 14, then retired a LTC in the ANG, and loved every moment of it. The airline life is good, but the industry is a mess right now. You may find out you have the very best job in aviation. Don't burn any bridges, and smell some roses along the way. And kill a terrorist or two while you are at it....
