We are NOT growing yet. The DHL deal is NOT signed and UPS will not staff for it until it IS and they have had time to digest it's contents. I seriously doubt the number of DC-8s that will be brought out of the desert. The best we can probably hope for regarding the DC-8 is for UPS to not retire the ones that are still in active service.
FWIW, the UPS System CP said 8 DC-8s will come out of the desert if the deal gets signed. The time frame will be dependent on the FAA and how cooperative they are with respect to inspections, records, etc.
