Its a shame that ithe regional market just doesn't support top dollar wages. While the union did a credible thing getting the highest pay rates ever for regional pilots, it may have "bit the hand that feeds them."
Well, unfortunately theres only one place to go when your on top.........and we all now where that is, just look at Air whiskey, us, and Comair........
So essentially, because most other regionals pilot costs are less (or less work rules), they inherently are "cheaper", CAL has been saying this to us all along we are not "on par with other regional airline costs"
Why the majors don't have their own flying done by their own employees is beyond me. Also a ton of XJT stations are closing and going to American Airlines...........just does not make sense......
