This is being caused by an over manning situation that was caused by the union. Don't forget the manning efficiencies negotiated in the last contract, like training on days off, lack of hard scheduling parameters, the scheduling committee tried to get in and was squashed by the MEC. And of course "Retro". Every one of these were put in place to get a few good things, like better health care for retirees. Give me a break, you're telling me a guy with 25 years at FEDEX can't afford to take care of himself for 5 years.
some valid points ... correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the first contract focused the obra bridge for the older guys, then we got the veba to help the older guys for their retirement... now we're at it again with the old guys.. when do we take care of our young? ( can we call them the silent majority?)
flame away fellow old guys...
