flame away fellow old guys...
Excuse me but the Obra Bridge wasn't for the Older guys, that fix helped everyone of us. Was someone who was on the list 1998 and is now ready to retire Senior back then? Prior to Contract #1 the FedEx A plan and pay /benfits was well behind every legacy. Of course that has all changed. Our pay went up dramatically from 1996. Only Senior guys benefited?
The Obra bridge raised the Top end limit for which our A-plan 2% per year was calculated. In 1997 the Cap was $150,000. which means that No FedEx pilot could make in excess of $75,000/year.
Currently our contract OBRA Bridge limit is $260,000 which means a $130,000 /yr retirement. That deal was signed over 10 years ago. So that only benefited "Senior Guys " ?
The B plan both in Contract 1 and our current contract is by far more benefit to the Junior half than the senior.
If you want to flame the Union, be my guest, but at least get your facts straight. Creating the OBRA Bridge was good for all of us.
