If you dont have a 100% desire to be a military pilot, dont even show up to UPT. You will be stressed to the max for upwards of 1.5 years. 12 hour days, stand up, tests. I am about to go back to my guard unit and I am burnt out on training to say the least.

With that being said, IT IS WORTH EVERY MINUTE of asspain for sure. The people you go through UPT/RTU are top notch dudes. They would give you the shirt off there back in a heartbeat. Best fraternity in the world......

how many regional guys did you see washout? i dont buy that at all.

plus if youre really worried about upt, set it up to go to Pensacola to do the joint upt program at VT-3. Its the easiest of easies, and zero stress. you fly about 1x per week, the rest of the time youre on the beach. then you do the other half of training in the T-1 beechjet at Vance. that sucks but that is so much like flying an RJ you will breeze thru it.
