Default Boneyard Locations

Those shots are a compiliatiion of at least three locations:

1. A commercial yard near Davis-Monthan AFB. (727s and 707s)

2. Davis-Monthan AFB (Tomcats, etc)

3. Mojave (the original 747)

and possibly Marrana, AZ, at Evergreen's boneyard.

Certain parts are commonly pulled and reused, such as landing gear, engines or engine pieces, and windows.

Aluminum just gets scrapped. Think how many airliners or military aircraft you have personally tossed in the heap as a used soda or beer can...sad to contemplate the history of it.
