70 hours of regular pay, 30 hours of JM and 400 hours TAFB. All at 3rd YR Dash FO pay.
70 x $23 = $1610
30 x $46 = #1380
400 x $1.28 = $512
Total = $3502 x 13 (bids) = $45,526
(Didn’t use deadhead pay but even if you do it won’t add much)
After running the numbers at an extreme:
All 100 hours at JM pay plus 400 hours TAFB @ 3 rd Yr pay.
100 x $46 = $4600
400 x $1.28 = $512
Total = $66,456 MAX!!!!!!! !!!! (CAN’T HAPPEN)
So by looking at the above numbers you can easily see that it’s impossible to make that kind of money on the Dash at Mesa…………………even if you’ve been there 20 years as an FO but if you can show us how then......................well just remember that it's puff-puff-give.
BTW, it’s also next impossible to have 100% of your time paid out at JM pay.
You're numbers are strong but I neglected to mention that they were on holdback pay on the RJ while picking up plenty of open time at time-and-a-half and double time. No joke, talk to anyone who has been in the Dash in the DEN system over the last 5 yrs. We had F/Os making over $100.00/hr in the right seat of a turboprop! Granted, it didn't last that long (about 1 year) and we're not seeing those numbers today, but that was a good year for those guys. Definitely not sustainable, but it happened allright.
Gotta know how to work the system, I guess. I know quite a few F/Os on the Dash right now, as a matter of fact, who are making well over $50/hr due to holdback pay. Some of them are heldback for quite awhile, so it adds up in their favor pretty quick under these circumstances. Unless you're in a huge rush to build TPIC, holdback pay here at Mesa is actually not too bad a deal. It's one of the few good things we have in our current contract. I'm content in the Dash, but for those looking to go to the jet, the name of the game is get that bid in, get the award, and get ready for some holdback pay.
