Oh, that's an easy one... So basically every time we do pretty much anything that is approved by the company and is part of our FOM we now must run an FAR check as well, huh? I mean, sure the company wants us to do this or that, but did they get the FAA approval THIS time? Yeah, that sounds really simple.

To be honest with you it’s not the company but the FAA I have a beef with on this one. I'd been involved with the safety department at a previous gig and this just shocked me; I simply couldn't believe that the FAA would violate our guys instead of fining the company (maybe they did too, I don't know).

It's ok for the company to disclose because that's how the program is meant to work. It's a totally different thing when the feds become overzealous and go after guys who simply followed the company rules. Pure and simple.
