In principle I support Age 65, but without it there would be much less talk of furlough, at least at the major carrier level. Every single major would have a steady stream of retirements and hiring would be continuing at a decent pace at places like SWA and US Airways.

If the industry more or less survives, when 65 comes up (or when the over 60 crowd has had enough) we will start seeing attrition again at the majors.

Yeah, this seems like a tangent, but I think it's actually quite relevant in today's industry.
