In all seriousness. Most new carriers have very good service when they start up. They usually offer little perks (free drink coupons, key chains, Ball Caps T-shirts etc).
While they do fly the same airplanes that use the same Jet fuel and carry the same Passengers, the Big difference is the pay and benefits.
Start ups usually don't pay squat and the benefits usually are lacking. The "allure" for new employees at most start ups is Resume building experience or the potential of very quick growth and Upward seniorty progression(meaning rapid upgrades for Pilots) should things pan out.
If things stay status quo or retrench at VA. My guess is next year at this time, that same Pimpled ridden boy won't be there any more (and neither will the FO who was flying you) or won't be near as Friendly.
