I think the hiring/displacement/furlough picture will be clearer once the schedule for summer 2009 is firmed up. Even if the winter flying schedule is greatly curtailed, they're not going through the expense of furloughing or displacing pilots, if they are going to be needed in that position next May.

My best guess (FWIW) is no hiring this fall, but also no furloughs.
