Easy, instead of using JEPPS charts and plates, we now use LIDO charts and plates. When we fully swapped to LIDO a couple of years ago, the need to carry our brain bags went away, because FedEx keeps the charts on the plane now - we all now carry Swiss Gear backpacks.

Most of the MD10/MD11s now have the EFBs installed using the LIDO digital versions, and on those aircraft, it is not a requirement to use the paper versions, but we have sets on board as a back up, or if you are still a stick in the mud and are afraid of electrons (but then, what are they doing on the MAd Dog? ) and/or change.

JEPPS are organized towards the FARs and the LIDOs are organized towards ICAO - so, theoretically, finding the info on a particular airport/country/region should be the same, whether domestic or international.

Some folks, and, I assume, they are the VERY SMALL MINORITY, feel lost without JEPPS. They probably still use sun dials to tell time, have rotary phones at home, B&W TVs with rabbitt ears, ..... They are the people that pull out their checkbook at the Express check out line!
