I can't begin to tell you the number of people I've known here over the last several years who have moved on, like so many of us desire, to Southwest, Continental, Cathay Pacific, Delta, Northwest, FedEx, UPS...the list goes on. The one thing I can say about them is they took advantage of good opportunities to become a sim instructor, check airman, or volunteered for the Union and learned a lot from having a leadership position. They didn't whine, they knew who they worked for, they made the most of the situation and took advantage of the opportunites afforded them. What is so difficult to understand about that? You can spend your whole day focusing on the negatives about this industry...or you can cowboy up, be gracious, make the most of what has been given to us. You never know when you'll have these sort of opportunites again.
I'm not blind...it's an extremely cruddy industry right now, but I'm not gonna let that get to me. I've had a pretty good run at Mesa so far and I thought it important to share that w/ the readers here so they get a complete picture.
