Memphis on the 727 perhaps? Or is it Subic Bay?

Question which requires splitting hairs and equivocating <g>

Technically, I guess, MEM would be the most junior, due to the fact that (generally) new hires go to the back seat of the 727. I say “generally” due to the history of occasionally hiring to a different seat, based upon immediate company need.

That being said, because Subic is a “special situation”, the folks flying out of there are/were VERY junior relative to the seat/position they hold. At least they were when the domicile first opened up -and I can’t tell you when the last bid to fill vacancies might have occurred, since I retired 2 years ago.

Being an A-300 base, a pilot would have to have “some” seniority to get the bid award, but we had folks go there as a wide body captain, who would not have been able to hold the left seat in a narrow body & F/O, who were very junior narrow body F/E’s, flying CONUS.

I guess the term “junior” would have to be more narrowly defined <G> but, from my view, MEM & SUB would both be “junior”, but for different reasons. MEM in the traditional airline sense, because it is where most of the entry level new hires get based, initially. SUB, due to the chance for really junior people to fly equipment/seats WAAAY out of his/her seniority level.
