To be fair if your behind the controls of an 800,000lb aircraft you need to completely understand the international language of aviation.....ENGLISH. I cant tell you how many times I've heard them and other foreign airlines at JFK botch instructions both on the ground and in the air because their English was marginal. Yes we all screw up instructions now and again but its chronic with some of those carriers.
