Atwater is a hell hole. There is no day life. There is no nightlife unless you like cow tipping. There is no escape unless you beat it for the Bay. The Tule Fog shuts things down in the winter and you're in a band of weather that will suck for weeks on end, yet 10 miles north is clear and sunny. The eligible women are few and the eligible men are ever fewer. If you give up on flying and want another career, Cingular has their call center a few feet away from the "bunks" which will be your home.

IFTA in Bakersfield is a much nicer place with a lot happier aircraft and students.
