In 1989 I read a newspaper article that stated that there was a looming pilot shortage. It's what got me into this racket. The shortage never materialized.

I've been out of work since 4/3. I've got lots of friends that have gone or are going to foreign carriers. I wasn't quiet ready to do that.

Monday I start as DO of an upstart regional airline. At half what I was making. We'll see how that goes.

If I had to do it over again, I'd go get another degree, maybe J.D. or finance. Something that would pay enough so that I could fly my own airplane.
