I don't understand why some folks are bashing those wanting the govt to step in. Of course, no one wants the govt to run the market, but did you read the article? There are folks manipulating the market. Huge price fluctuations. And they're doing it at the expense of the avg. consumer.

Do you really believe that gov't should sit back and leave the "free market" to it's own devices? People will do anything to make a quick buck. You can't fully trust the govt, but you can trust the market to police itself even less.

I don't agree with gov't running the show, put it does need to punish those who manipulate the market outside the laws of supply & demand to pad thier wallet at the expense of all of us.
