The academy took me for 65K back in 2006, but a year later when I was hired by ASA, they did not care where I got hours, only that I met their min’s, and that I had a good interview and sim ride. Also, be careful with FBO’s, not all are created equal. I also worked at an FBO where it was all about milking the student for money, not progress.
