Haha sounds like someone I know......
Man you have no idea, I have been where you want to be, flying dirty Mesa airplanes for slave labor. I was exectly like you, in fact I probably did come on this site back a year ago defending places like Mesa. The fact is very soon, some in about a month or two, after the dust settles you will realize that flying airliners is just a job and that feeling cool doesn't pay the bills or justify your $hitty qol. I know at this point that absoutely makes no sense to you because you equate it to a 172 vs a CRJ but trust me and others who are trying to give you advice who have already been there and done that. Hang in there and CFI because I 100% guarantee once you get the flight time for a regional where you actually WANT to be as apposed to "get your foot in", you will swithc and will have to put up with another airline training event and all the problems that brings. No one is making life decisions for you, only you can do that.
