I ADVISED him not to, that it wouldn't work, that he'd wish he hadn't done it, blah blah blah. He didn't get very far before his engine quit and he was stuck with a costly rebuild. The point is, he had a dumb idea that he thought would work and wasn't going to listen to anyone tell him otherwise. He regrets it, ended up worse off than when he started and I'm sure if it ever came up again with someone else he'd tell them not to put diesel in a gas engine.
Ask yourself a few questions:
Why Mesa is the only airline hiring now?
Why you never hear anything positive about Mesa?
Why did Mesas stock get delisted from the NASDAQ and is trading at $00.40?
Why is Mesa being sued by several airlines?
Why does Mesa have the highest turnover of Pilots in the industry?
Why Mesa does not guarantee pay for cancelled flights? If your flight gets cancelled, you do not get paid as a pilot.
Why does Mesa pay historical block only? That means if the flight pays 2 hours and it ends up being a 5 hour flight because of a meltdown at JFK, you get paid 2 hours for 5 hours of work.
Not listening to the advice of people who know is pure ignorance.
