In part 91 G III land, you don't have them. But in the airline part 121 world, we must adhere to them. And every 121 airline I worked at (both of them) had an Ops Spec that PROHIBITED circle to land operations in IMC conditions. SO...guess what??? ALL pilots completing the airline's simulator training program had the limitation "Circle to Land- VMC Only" issued on their certificate. To claim that an individual had issues in the sim because of this limitation is totally moronic. Please do us all a favor and know what you're talking about before you open you mouth again.

OK, OK. As stated in the above, I missed that possibility. I did in the original message say I wasn't passing judgment. Done the circle on my last 5 types (3 121 ops, 1 91, 1 135), and do them in the current 142 & 121 training I do. Just trying to help out with a little info. If I was really just out to rib the guy, I wouldn't include the other info.
