oh man you wouldn't believe how true this is. pinnacle has a pilot on a hiring board at a "major" airline. no need to name names but a captain i flew with a year or so ago simply said he had no chance in hell of getting a job there now since he treated that guy like crap as an fo. The sad thing is that it is one or two of these ignorant a$$es that give the rest of us a bad reputation. If a prick-of-a-captain here at Comair decides to deny someone a jumpseat, that one person tells everyone at his or her airline how all the Comair pilots are dicks and eventually everyone starts to believe it and now I look bad because some assface decided to be a jerk.
(Disclaimer: I'm just using Comair as an example because I work here and I'm not aiming this post at any particular person, instead speaking in general. I'm sure every airline has their one or two bad apples that spoil it for the rest of the group).
