The only "Right" thing to do with this overmanning is to politely teel all the over 60 guy's that we just don't have the position's available for you to come back to....Sorry-you'll just have to retire on your 30+ years of aquired pension. No other airline in this industry is allowing any pilot over 60 to come back to flying status unless there are position's available. But not here at Fedex. We again are reinventing the wheel. Thank's to our MEC leadership, they again screwed us by ignoring our wishes of NOT supporting the age 65 rule change. The vote was 65% to 35% AGAINST the change. But our leadership decided, (again) on their own, to ignore your wishes and do what they felt like instead. So now Lewis and the boy's can all come back for another 15 minute's of fame at the expense of the junior guy's.
I say...Go home and retire and enjoy your grandkid's before you kick the bucket. These junior guy's have families to support, home's to pay for, college tuition's to save for food to buy....etc...etc.
