I got a good one for ya'. After getting furloughed at USAir we got UAL applications with 'A L P A' stamped on the front. Purportedly it would get us preferential interviewing. Some of the more junior USAir MEC guys did a little research, and in some number of weeks, supposedly 47 current of furloughed USAir folks were interviewed at UAL. Three (3) were hired. A lot of good being ALPA did for us then, although I guess I'll just have to come to grips with the sad fact that I just am not Marvin Mainliner material...and darn glad for it.
